Landscape Hall of Shame

These photos show a few McLennan County landscape projects running amok.
These homes are 5 to 10 years old and are Valued from $250,000 to $500,000.

When these landscapes were first completed, they looked great. Look at them now. This result is not the fault of the homeowner. The landscape designer did not understand (or was not concerned) what the mature size potential of these cute little plants would be. A Nellie R. Stevens Holly that grows to 20 ft. tall x 15 ft. wide cannot be kept trimmed at 7 ft. Spiral Junipers which are very high maintenance are not appropriate for the focal point of your project. When spider mites attack junipers (and they will), you are left with an unsightly, embarrassing and expensive problem. Take a look below at these and a few other common problems.
